I think there could have been a way around it--like saying the grand prize would have to go to an educational organization, ie: school, parent-run organization, homeschool support group, etc. In some areas, homeschool umbrella programs serve dozens of students who could certainly use athletic equipment. The grand prize is obviously intended for a large organization. I don't think that just because we're homeschoolers we should be included in everything that public (or private) school children get.
