I was just telling my husband that I am going to become a souper Lenten cook this year, when voilà, this article came across my email. I am determined to do better with cooking more soups, and this is a great start for the upcoming season of fast, abstinence and penitence. Only these soups don’t seem too penitential….

Thank you, Andy. Mass this morning began with an outdoor blessing of the palms and then a procession around the church grounds. During the reading of the Passion the priest wore his deacon stole and faced the direction of the heathens (sideways and facing left)as is done in the Traditional Rite. And thus begins Holy Week–a truly remarkable week in the life of the Christian. May you enter into the penitential mood of the week and come out on the other side to a glorious Easter.
